About this guide and how the odds are calculated
This site is an independent, single-topic guide to teen patti as it is played in the Teen Patti Master app: the rules, the hand rankings and the real probabilities behind them. It is not run, reviewed or endorsed by the app's developer.
How every number is calculated
No odds on this site are estimated or copied from other pages. They come from exhaustive enumeration, which means a program checks every possible case instead of sampling.
- Hand frequencies: all 22,100 three-card hands from a 52-card deck (52 choose 3) are generated and sorted into trail, pure sequence, sequence, colour, pair and high card. The counts are 52, 48, 720, 1,096, 3,744 and 16,440.
- Win, tie and loss rates: for a given hand, the remaining 49 cards make 18,424 possible opponent hands (49 choose 3). Each one is scored and compared with yours.
- Ranking rules used: trail > pure sequence > sequence > colour > pair > high card. A-K-Q is the top sequence, A-2-3 the second, and 4-3-2 the lowest. Suits never break ties.
The hand strength checker runs the same comparison in your browser each time you press the button, so you can check any figure on the main page yourself.
What the numbers do not tell you
All figures are against one random opponent. With more players still in the hand, your chance of holding the best hand falls. The odds also ignore betting: in a real game, players pack weak hands, so the hands that reach a show are stronger than random.
How the site is funded
The download buttons on the main page are referral links, marked rel="sponsored". Real-money online games are prohibited in India under the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025, in force since 1 May 2026, and this guide does not encourage anyone to play for money. The rules and odds are the same whether you play in an app, with chips at home, or not at all.
Corrections
If a rule or number on this site is wrong, it is fixed and the "Updated" date on the page changes. Rule variations between tables (for example, whether A-2-3 is the second-best sequence) are noted where they apply.
